I belong to a Book Club.
Tuesday Readers
We get together once a month and discuss a book
that we have collectively chosen.
This month's discussion was:
This is a great read!
We chose it in honor of the 100th Anniversary
of the sinking of Titanic.
April 15, 1912-2012
The story (a mixture of fact & fiction)
weaves a tale about a young seamstress, Tess, that gets
hired by a famous designer,
Lady Lucile Duff Gordon,
to be her personal maid during the voyage of Titanic~
and what follows is a great story worth reading.
Check it out: http://www.amazon.com/
or your favorite book store in your area.
(Sounds like a commercial!)
Myself~I choose amazon.com...
I love getting brown boxed packages!
One of the best parts of book club is
the food.
One of the members served deliciously warm, baked apples;
topped with homemade ice cream.
Ohhhhhhhh myyyyyyyy...
Cinnamon, sugar, raisins & those apples!
And did I mention it was warm????
Myself and a fellow reader had visited
a Titanic Exhibition this summer~
she in Kansas City and I in Atlanta.
If you get the opportunity~ do it!
It is full of fascinating artifacts,
shows and tells a touching story of a tragic event in our history.
She loves to scrapbook
& shared some or her purchases from the Gift Store.
It was really cool stuff!
